Brunswick County, VA:

   All my estate, except my Negroes, to be sold & the money 
to be put to interest, & my Negroes to be hired out until 
my son JOHNSON is age 21; my 3 youngest children JOHNSON, 
PATSEY & SISLEY to be raised & schooled from the hire of 
my Negroes & interest of the money.

   When my son JOHNSON comes to age 21, my Negroes Cloyey, 
Nell, Jude, Bet & Adam to be put into 3 equal lots, & then 
a third part each to my son JOHNSON, my daughter PATSEY & 
may daughter SISLEY.

  Ex:  my son MORRIS PEARSON, my son JOHN PEARSON

  Wit:  George JOHNSON, Susannah BREWER, Cannan JONES

probate indicates that the excrs. qualified with John GOODRICH 
& Owen M. (Middleton) FLETCHER their securities.

William POOLE and Adam TAPLEY are securities, 
but I don't know just how POOLE is related, or if he is, 
to BRADFORDS, perhaps through the HOLLOWAY family.

John BRADFORD, s/o John BRADFORD and Rebecca PACE, 
was a well-known legislator in NC.  His will is in Brunswick, 
and in his genealogy it is said they couldn't find his will.   
They were probably looking in NC, instead of VA.  (aep)
