"Will 72  pg 108   James HALL of the County of Amelia (VA)   XXIII December
MDCCLVIII   August Court 1764

to son James HALL 200 acres which includes the plantation he now lives on, 1
Negro woman and her increase excepting one Negro girl already given my
daughter Ruth HALL    do daughter Frances HALL 1 Negro girl and her
increase, bed, saddle, etc.   beloved wife (name not given) to have use of
my Carolina plantation bought of John IRBY and her choice of two of my best
Negroes and also household goods, cattle, etc. during her natural life and
at her decease the same to be equally divided between my three sons
Theodorick, William and BENJAMIN HALL and none of my other children (names
not given) to come in for any of the part left my wife   plantation I live
on to be sold and money used to pay my lawful debts   Negroes and my other
estate to be equally divided between my 3 before mentioned sons.

Extrs:  my wife and my son James HALL.

Wits:  Alex. GRAY, Edward THWEAT, Daniel THWEAT.

Probate indicates "Ruth HALL was qualified Extrx. Thereof"



"Will 43  pg 65   Moses HALL   29 October 1761   February Court 1762

to my dear wife (name not given) the use and benefit of my Plantation during
her life or widowhood and after her death or marriage I give the same to my
son Moses HALL with on Colt, etc.  wife bed, furniture, cow, calf, etc.  to
my sons Isaac and Joseph HALL and my daughters Anne and Sarah HALL bed,
furniture, cows, calves, etc.  Extrs:  John DUKE, Robert PULLI.  Wit:
Joseph NEWBY, Joseph WEST, Francis (?) NEWBY."



"Will 28  pg 44 .William WINBORNE   6 August 1748   May Court 1761

to son William WINBORNE one half of the 150 acres I purchased of John BASS
being the part joining Edward EARP   son Demsy WINBORNE the plantation
whereon I now live with the other half of the land left to William   son
Jesse WINBORNE the land I purchased of Jacob BASS containing 100 acres more
or less   to my three daughters Jane, Esther and Alice WINBORNE 10 pounds
each   my lands in VA to be sold to pay my debts and the surplus thereof to
return to my estate   residue of my estate to go to my beloved wife Anne
WINBORNE for her life and after her decease to be divided among all my
children.

Extrs:  Anne, my two brothers John and Phillip WINBORNE.

Wits:  WILLIAM HALL, ANNE HALL, Joseph GRANT X his mark."

"Will 70   pg 104   Thomas AMIS   28 March 1764   August Court 1764

to son John AMIS my land and plantation in Halifax Co, (NC) whereon CAPTAIN
WILLIAM HALL now lives together with the 5 Negroes and their increase and 6
sows and pigs."



"Will 197   pg 292   John BASS, 14 June 1777.

"Will 444  pg 162  Thomas PARKER  26 September 1797  December Court 1797  To
my sons Richard PARKER and my friends John M. BINFORD, James BRADLEY and
James EXUM 1 Negro girl and her increase on the condition that they hold
said Negro and increase to the sole and separate use and benefit of my Grand
Daughter Mason HALL and deliver same to her when said Mason is of age or
marries    to son Richard (and friends as listed above) Negroes to the use
of daughter Mason HALL without interference of control of her husband
Leonard HALL, the said Negroes not be subject to payment of said Leonard
HALL'S debts   at death of said daughter, trustees to hold said Negroes for
use of benefit of all said daughter's children (names not given) until
eldest is of age or children marry   to my son Richard all and every part
and parcel of my estate not above disposed of, both real and personal after
my just debts are paid.  Extrs:  my son Richard and friends John M. BINFORD,
James BRADLEY and James EXUM.  Wits:  Josias CRUMP, Benjamin DANCY, Howell
MCLEMORE, James DANCY."



"Will 577   pg 332  Anthony E. WILLIAMS, 18 January 1807 and my sister
Margarett WILLIAMS $500 each.Littleberry MASON my silver watch   my lands
known by the name of COAKLEY'S plantation and MRS HALL'S land.Littleberry
MASON is an Executor, as well as a witness."
