I am searching for information on my GG Aunt, Amanda (Parker) Davison Codicil I Mathew Fleming of Fairmont Marion County Virginia being of sound mind and disposing memory do make and ordain this my Codicil to my last will and testament above written that is to say I revoke the ____ named in the first article of my said will to the said Harriet Parker so far as states ______ therein bequeath to the said Harriet Parker one hundred to be paid to her in one year from my death should she live that long And should she live two years after my death then my executors are to pay her one other hundred dollars making in all two hundred dollars – but should she die before I do ? within one year after I die I do not desire my executors above named to pay her anything Ex to defray her burial expenses – And I hereby _ _ _ my last will in every other respect in as excepts in this my codicil Signed and sealed August 26th 1830 In the persons of: F.H ? Mathew Fleming seal The original Will, in part: First I give and bequeath to Harriet Parker (daughter of Joseph Parker) now residing in my family one bedstead feather bed and bedding suitable for the same to be set aside at my death by my said executors also two hundred dollars in money to be paid the said Harriet in one year from my decease. 2nd….names a daughter Ann Elizabeth 3rd … names seven beloved children: Sh _ _ _; Albert; Benjamin Albin; Ann Elizabeth; Henry Thornton; Mary Eliza; George Lewis; and Lydia Jane ** I do not know if this Harriet Parker and father, Joseph Parker, are related to my Amanda Parker but in her Civil War Pension deposition, Amanda lists a family named Fleming. So far, we cannot find my Amanda listed as a slave.
