(Submitter’s note: This bible names slave births and some deaths. Also it is 
believed the others listed after 1865 are also children of former slaves. This 
bible is from the family of William J. Beck, son of Jesse Beck, Jr. William Beck 
and his father Jesse Beck moved from Amherst Co. VA to Dickson Co. TN about 
1820. The bible is in possession of Roger Landers of Brooksville, Fl., a 
descendant of William Beck.)

Althea (?), negro girl was born on the 11th day of February 1849, daughter of 
negro Ann & Joe.
Eliza Washington, daughter of Joe & Ann, born 4 March 1851 (?)
Charles Albert & James Henry (Twins) was born 15 February, 1854 sons of negro 
Ann & Joe.
