"Thomas LENOIR (LANIER) of St Andrew Parish in Brunswick Co to John HOBBS of 
Albermarle Parish in Sussex Co.  25 Feb 1760.  L200 VA. 22 acres which was part 
of 422 acres, on the north side of Waqua Creek, joining the mouth of Popler 
Branch.  Wit:  Edward RAGSDALE, Edward HOLLOWAY, Eliza  (E) HOLLOWAY.  Proved 24 
Mar 1760.  (blank) the wife of sd Thomas relinquished her right of dower.  John 
ROBINSON CC."

Reubin ALLEN.  17 Nov 1784.  L25 VA.  30 acres in St Andrews Parish, on the 
south side of Hickory Run, joining James CROOK, Edward HOLLOWAY.  Wit:  William 
CROOK, Joseph HULL.  Proved 27 June 1785."



Will Book 5, Vol 3, Brunswick County, VA:

"Elizabeth (x) HOLLOWAY  16 Sep 1780   26 Feb 1781

  To my son David - lend to him Negro boy Charles; should he die without child 
or children then the sd boy or his value to be divided between the rest of my 
children; should he have a child or children, then I give the sd Negro to him, 
as also my gray mare, 1 cow & calf, etc.

  To my daughter Mary HOLLOWAY - lend to her Negro woman Bridgett; should she 
die without child or children, then I give the sd Negro to her, as also 1 cow & 
calf, 1 filly, saddle, etc.

Ex:  my son Edward HOLLOWAY, Buckner SMITH.

Wit:  Robert WILSON

Further probated 26 Aug 1782 when Edward HOLLOWAY qualified to execute with 
David WALKER his security."

"Nathaniel LEWIS of Brunswick Co to Edward HOLLOWAY of Dinwiddie Co.  1 May 
1765.  L10 VA.  A mortgage for 2 cows & calves, 3 heifers, 2 steers, 5 sows & 21 
shoats, 2 horses, household goods, etc.  Wit:  Joshua DEWBERRY, Robert HOBBEY, 
John HOLLOWAY.  Proved 22 Jul 1765.  Nath'l EDWARDS, Jr DCC."

Parish in Dinwiddie Co.  12 Oct 1766. L10 VA. 200 acres on the north side of 
Hickory Run which was part of a patent dated 6 Aug 1756, joining Lewelling 
JONES, & being all Isham WALL'S lands on the north side of Hickory Run.  Wit:  
Edward HOLLOWAY, John HOLLOWAY, Willmuth WESTMORELAND.  Proved 22 Jun 1767.  N. 
EDWARDS, Jr DCC."
