     Received this day of William R. Pickett $500 in full payment for a man slave named Daniel, which said slave I do warrant and defend the right and title of unto the said William R. Pickett free and clear from the lawful claim or claims of all persons whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 6th day of January 1825.
