     Received of Armstrong Mitchell the just and full sum opf $975 in full payment for the purchase of two slaves, (___) a boy about 18 or 19 years of age, Nerva, a woman 19 years of age. Both slaves are sound. The right and title of said slaves I do and will forever warrant and defend unto the said Mitchell, his heirs and assigns forever against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever. As witness my hand and seal this 3rd day of December 1824.
