“E:88.  James MACAY.  30 Nov 1796.  Probate 1800.  
Wife, Esther.  Sons Wilson to have Negroes Henry, Lucy, 
and Tom.  Son Sruce to have 5 sh.  Son James to have 
Negro girl Biddy.  Son John to have Negro slave Peter.  
Son Daniel, who is under age, to have Negro girl Patty.  
Dau. Elizabeth, wife of Radford ELLIS, To have Negro 
wench Jane.  Dau Sarah, wife of Robert MC KIE, to have 
Negro Sylvia.  Dau Anne, wife of Henry LOFTON*, to have 
Negro girl Amy.  Dau. Hannah.  Exr:  Son James MACAY.  
Guardian for son Daniel and dau. Hannah:  Son Spruce MACAY.  
Wit:  W. MOORE, John SMITH.”

 

“E:95.  Robert MC KIE.  1 Oct 1803.  Probate 1805.  He calls 
himself ‘the elder.’  Sons Robert and Theodore to divide the 
316 acre home plantation and also have $50 each.  Son Henry 
to have Negro woman Nancy.  Son John to have $10.  
Daus:  Millie MC KIE, Molly SMITH, Lucey SMITH, *Sally SMITH, 
Susanna THOMAS, Franky STRANGE.  Exrs:  Friend Robert MOORE, 
William STRANGE.  Wit:  James GRAY, Martha MOORE, John MILLER.”
