Has Raised a Large Family

A day or two since, old "uncle" Harry MORTON, a colored man who lives out in the country, was in town and a Hustler man got interested in what the old man was saying. He was talking of his children, and when asked how many he was the father of, he said that he would have to count up and see. He began the enumeration and found that he had just seventeen that were still alive, while three of his offspring had died. He has been married twice, and these twenty children are the children of the two women. Uncle Harry is about 70 years of age and is still quite vigorous. He owns the farm on which he lives and is regarded as an honest fellow. He believes in paying his debts.
